Miami Twp. Target peeping Tom pleads guilty

Joshua Sheldon, 33, pleaded guilty Thursday to voyeurism, a second-degree misdemeanor, according to Miamisburg Municipal Court.

Sheldon was accused of looking under a woman’s dressing room door at a Target store in Miami Twp.

Sheldon was sentenced to 90 days in jail, with 60 days suspended; ordered to pay a $380 fine; required to register as a Tier 1 sexual offender; and ordered to attend a class for sexual offenders and counseling.

Sheldon has also been banned from all Target stores for two years.

A man is charged with voyeurism after allegedly looking under a woman’s dressing room door at a Target store.

The incident happened Monday morning at the Target located at 2300 Miamisburg Centerville Road, said Capt. John Magill of Miami Twp. police.

The police department posted photos of the unnamed suspect on its Facebook page, and then at 1:30 a.m. Wednesday, the man — identified as Joshua P. Sheldon, 33, — turned himself into police.

Sheldon is charged with a misdemeanor count of voyeurism, Magill said.

Magill said it’s believed a cell phone was used and a search warrant was used to recover the device in question. The investigation is ongoing.

The victim was a 21-year-old female, according to the police report.
